The Heinrich is the modular converting platform from PrintsPaul and the flagship of the entire conversion line. Internally, it is also referred to as PPMDF. It is aimed at label and packaging manufacturers who require maximum flexibility in roll-to-roll converting.
Das Grundprinzip des Heinrich Consistent modularity is key. All available modules can be freely combined and retrofitted as requirements grow. This allows a user to start with a simple standard configuration consisting of a flexographic printing unit, die-cutting unit, grid removal unit, and slitter, and expand the machine step by step – without having to purchase a new system.
Standard features include electronically controlled web edge control, a grid take-off system with the proven snowball method, and two independently operating rewinders that can also be configured as a semi-turret. Four different cutting systems are available for longitudinal slitting, including an autoslitter option with automatically adjustable circular knives, which significantly reduces setup times.
The range of available modules makes the Heinrich Unique. It can be equipped with a fully or semi-rotary flexographic printing unit, which can be used for varnishing, printing, and cold foil application. The fully or semi-rotary die-cutting unit operates with a magnetic die-cutting cylinder. A specially designed laminating unit enables both classic cold foil applications and register-precise lamination in semi-rotary mode. For finishing applications, a screen printing module for spot colors, varnishes, and topcoats is available, as well as a hot foil stamping unit with a 90-degree rotating stamping head that can even place holograms with precise registration. This is complemented by an inkjet unit that can be used for digital finishing with spot varnish, for cold foil application, or as an inkjet printing system with black or white ink.
Operation is via a large, movable 10-inch color display with German user guidance. Since the display can be moved almost the entire length of the machine, the operator always has both the display and the respective machine module in view.
The Heinrich It processes web widths of 330, 420, and 520 millimeters, although not all modules are available in every width. In full rotary mode, it achieves speeds of up to 120 meters per minute, and in semi-rotary mode, up to 60 meters per minute. The entire machine is fully servo-controlled.
Unique in the market is the option to die-cut rectangular labels up to a length of 2.000 mm, depending on the material and application. This mode not only opens up new fields of application but also reduces die-cutting costs by approximately 30% in many cases.
Depending on the desired range of functions as well as additional modules or extensions, the rental model can be adapted accordingly.
